Nicosia, December 9, 2022- In the afternoon of December 8, 2022, a videoconference was held for the first time between the Cuban Chamber of Commerce and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
On the foreign side, Mr. Phidias Pilides and Mr. Marios Tsiakkis, the Acting President and Secretary General respectively of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated.
From the Cuban side, Ruben Ramos Arrieta and Mirtha Rippes, Vice President and Europe Specialist of the Chamber of Commerce (CC) respectively, and Emma Liens, Europe Specialist at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, were accompanied by the Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus, Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero.

During the friendly meeting, the representatives of the two institutions exchanged on business opportunities and economic interests of both countries.
They also agreed to sign in the near future a Memorandum of Understanding and an action plan where the main commercial economic interests will be reflected. This type of meeting is part of the efforts of the Cuban Embassy in Cyprus to promote the economic and commercial relations of both countries (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
