This Monday, the first meeting of the Biopharmaceutical Cluster was held at the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba.
The purpose of the meeting was to present to companies, officials and specialists of the sector the Chamber’s services in accordance with the business development strategy.
The event was presided over by Antonio Carricarte, president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, Rubén Ramos, vice-president and Dr. David Curbelo, business director of BioCubaFarma, and it was highlighted as a propitious place for the exchange and integration of useful programs for companies in the biopharmaceutical sector.
Lellanis López, a specialist from the Legal Department, spoke about the new support programs for the business sector and emphasized the work of the chamber of commerce “what can be done, what can be helped, what the institution needs to concentrate its efforts on in order to be really effective in the processes proposed by the companies in the sector”, He also referred that “the proposals that arise from the businessmen will be the proposals that we will assume and towards which we will put all our efforts in order to comply with the mandate given to us by the assembly of associates to promote the development of the socialist enterprise”.
A second intervention presented by the specialist of the International Relations Directorate, Claudia Sánchez, called for the participation and insertion of the companies of the biopharmaceutical sector in the tenth edition of EXPO ALADI 2023, an event that will take place from October 2 to 4 at the Havana Convention Palace, where a Business Macro-Roundtable will be held through its virtual platform and 13 member countries of the organization and representatives of other nations will participate to boost and diversify inter-regional trade.
Diosy Diaz, a specialist from the Events Department, concluded the presentation with the Chamber’s plan for regional events of interest to the business community, in order to encourage them to participate in them.
