On Monday, the territorial assemblies of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic began, in which the directors and officials of this institution meet with the national business community with the aim of evaluating the results of the work done during the year and the projections for the next five years.
Today, Antonio Luis Carricarte Corona, president of the Chamber of Commerce, and Daniel Urrutia, head of the Directorate of Attention to the Territories of the Mincex, led a tour of the province of Holguín and exchanged with entrepreneurs and workers of various forms of management of important productive centres.
The delegation held meetings with managers and specialists of the Mixed Enterprise “Comandante Pedro Sotto Alba”, Moa Nickel S.A. belonging to the Cubaníquel Business Group; this company is responsible for the production and marketing of mixed nickel and cobalt sulphides, as well as the production, sale and delivery of sulphuric acid to companies in the national industry.At the headquarters of the Empresa Importadora y Abastecedora del Níquel, CEXNi, Carricarte also met with the highest authorities of the PCC and the Government in the municipality of Moa, and visited the nickel and cobalt producing company “Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara” where he discussed the export support programme for this priority sector.
In the afternoon, the tour concluded with the presentation and exchange of the company Raíces S.R.L., a space that was propitious to present the road travelled since the creation of the company and the opportunities for improvement that exist for its continued growth. Gabriel David Pérez Fernández, director of the Holguín – Las Tunas Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce, and Leonardo Bruzón, head of the Foreign Trade Directorate of Holguín, also participated in the tour of Holguín province, a prelude to the first Territorial Assembly scheduled for Tuesday in the eastern city.
