The president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Antonio Carricarte, accompanied by vice president Rubén Ramos, received Excellency Mr. Álvaro Barba García, ambassador of Uruguay in Cuba, at the institution’s headquarters.
During the meeting, both parties agreed to push actions for the benefit of bilateral trade, including the rapprochement of the Cuban chamber with Uruguayan sectoral chambers. The ambassador also referred to having received investment interests from Uruguayan companies in Cuba.
The Chamber of Commerce expressed its willingness to coordinate him visits to sites of interest related to the sectors: agriculture, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), health, renewable energy, among others, with the goal of learning about the potentialities and demands of Cuban companies belonging to those branches of the economy.
