The last scientific day of the XVIII International Convention and Fair Informática 2022 will dedicate today two panels to crypto-business, Blockchain technology and the adoption of open source software for technological sovereignty.

The first meeting, which will be held at the Havana Convention Palace, will be part of the I International Workshop The Software Industry: Trends and Best Practices and will be led by Miguel Katrib Mora, coordinator of the Blockchain Group of the Institute of Cryptography of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Havana.

The main objectives of this event will be to analyze the importance of cryptography for security, the existence of the blockchain concept and the innovative nature of this technology for the software industry.

In the second, on the other hand, Cuban and foreign experts will participate in the topics of open source software and open hardware.

On its closing day, Informatics 2022 will host other panels and round tables such as those dedicated to cyber fraud, telecommunications services in Cuba and Big Data and Artificial Intelligence at the service of society.

The workshop Observatories and digital transformation, which will be coordinated by Yunier Rodríguez Cruz, director of the Center for Digital Government Studies, will analyze the indicators and development elements for the transformation of digital government, as well as the impact and good practices of these structures in the Greater Antilles.

Researchers, managers and officials of the nation’s communications will assess the importance of digital governance in the implementation of public policies and the role of Cuban observatories in the information society.

During the penultimate day, this Thursday, Raydel Montesino Perurena, rector and full professor of the Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas (UCI), gave details about the Cybersecurity Engineering as an option for higher studies that began last year.

On the other hand, Transfermóvil announced that in the coming months it will offer new services such as the Virtual Wallet and the Store Gallery, new features that will allow balance transfers and transfers, and the online marketing of products, respectively.

Together for digital transformation is the premise that accompanies the XVIII International Convention and Fair Informatics 2022, which concludes on March 25.
